Easter Festival

We celebrate Easter BIG each year at Spring First Church! We hold a Kids' Easter Festival the Saturday prior to Easter on the church grounds. This event is for children ages 0 through 11 years old. This is a family-focused event with moon walks, petting zoos, pony rides, games, face painting, food and fun for everyone! Parents have your children's baskets ready to be filled with candy.

Kid's Camp

Each summer, the children head to Hill Country Camp in Kerrville, TX for Kids' Camp. Camp is offered for children ages 7 ½ through 12, and is held from Monday until Friday. We travel on our church coach bus, departing very early Monday morning and returning Friday early evening. Registration forms are usually available by February, and openings fill up quickly. So, get your form and money in fast to reserve a spot. We also accept parent registration forms to attend camp as a camp counselor. We'd love to have you along!

VBS

Vacation Bible School is something we look forward to each and every summer! This is a fun week for the kids, and a great time of learning God's word through special music, crafts and much more. VBS usually lasts four days with a fun and energetic theme that changes each year!

Kids in Ministry

We believe in teaching our children at an early age how to minister through their God-given gifts and talents. During fall of each year, the South Texas District Christian Education Department sponsors Kids In Ministry. At this event, children present their talents in various genres including: Vocal Solo/Ensemble, Choir, Instrumental Solo/Ensemble, Drama Solo/Group, Human Video Solo/Group, Puppetry, Sign Language Solo/Group, etc. Several months prior to the event, try-outs are given for the group events such as Drama Group, Human Video Group, and Sign Language Group. For those participating in groups, there will be an assigned practice time weekly. This is an incredible way to develop our students talents and outreach abilities. We have seen amazing developments through God's work in all of our children involved. Sign your child up for a soul-stretching experience!

Hallelujah Festival

We believe in candy and fun! Every October 31, we celebrate with a Hallelujah Festival at the church from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. There is a variety of events for children through 11 years old. We host a Biblical Character costume contest with fun prizes, and of course children leave with bunches and bunches of candy! No one will miss trick or treating in public with the sack-fulls of candy they'll acquire over the fun-filled, safe festival. As we have tender children of all ages, no scary costumes please.
