Joining the Department of Fine Arts

A Fine Arts Application must be completed along with the First Assembly of God workers ministry packet. Once the application is complete, an appointment should be made with the Department of Fine Arts Secretary to meet with the Minister of Fine Arts.

Each applicant will then be interviewed by the Minister of Fine Arts and encouraged to share his or her musical, drama, technical, or production background and ministry calling.

How to Join a Certain Area of Ministry

Choir

All you need to do is show up for one of the scheduled rehearsals and sing with the choir on a trial basis. If you decide that you desire to become a member, please advise the Choir Director of your decision. The Choir Director will assist you with the application process.

Praise Team/Celebration Singers

Participants are selected by application and an audition by the Minister of Fine Arts. The call to leadership and faithfulness, as well as vocal ability, are characteristics of a Praise Team/Celebration Singer member.

Members are normally selected from the sanctuary choir. When positions become available for audition, they will be announced in the weekly Department Announcement sheet.

Special Music

If you desire to sing a song as part of the Sunday evening special music, please contact the Minister of Fine Arts. Before being placed on the schedule, an audition may be required.

Orchestra

To become involved in any area of the Orchestra Ministry, please call the Department of Fine Arts office. An audition will be scheduled to determine skill level, ability, and calling.

Drama and Production

To become involved in any area of the Drama and Production Company, please contact the Department of Fine Arts office.

An interview and/or audition may be requested.

Technical Ministry Team

Although the Sound, Lighting and Video Ministry are a part of the Department of Fine Arts, each team has a ministry director. To become involved as a part of the Technical Team, please contact the team ministry director for the area you desire to join.

Powerhouse Youth & Power Kids Fine Arts Departments

The Youth and Children's Fine Arts Departments are auxiliary of the First Assembly of God Department of Fine Arts. If you desire to work in the area of Youth and Children please contact the Youth Pastor or the Director of Children's Ministries directly.

Fine Arts Staff

The Minister of Fine Arts appoints the department staff. Faithfulness, dedication, a heart of worship towards God, and a commitment to excellence in ministry are all qualities and characteristics that make up the Department of Fine Arts Staff.
