Robert Hogan
Robert Hogan, native of Lubbock, Texas, graduated from high school in 1969. He enrolled in Southwestern Assemblies of God University in the fall of 1969 and returned to Lubbock to marry his high school sweetheart, Brenda Ammons, in 1970. He earned his bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries in 1972.
After graduation, he and Brenda served as youth pastors in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Austin, Texas. They then returned to Southwestern Assemblies of God University where Hogan served as Admissions Counselor and Director of Admissions for the college from 1975-80. While at the college, Robert and Brenda had two children, Shalee and David.
In the spring of 1980, the couple moved to Spring, Texas and became youth pastors at First Assembly of God and in 1982 became Pastors. During the course of his ministry in Spring, Hogan has built a large congregation that has a widely know out-reach ministry to the community and city.
The Hogans have traveled on mission projects to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico and India. Spring First Assembly has built approximately 25 churches in Mexico and South America. After 29 years of ministry in Spring, God has built a church based on a mission's spirit.
Robert and Brenda now have three beautiful granddaughters; Macy, Miya and Bailee.
Hogan has served as North Houston Sectional Presbyter and Executive Presbyter of the South Texas District. He is on the board of regents at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and Pleasant Hill Children's Home, and now serves as General Presbyter for the South Texas District of the Assemblies of God.
