Department of Fine Arts Ministry

The Spring First Department of Fine Arts Ministry is made up of the Choir, Praise Team/Celebration Singers, Special Music, Orchestra, the Drama and Production Company, the Technical Ministry Team along with the Youth and Children's Fine Arts Departments.

Each year, our Department is involved in producing several major productions (examples: Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, and Rodeo Sunday). Each production is a product of the combined efforts of the entire Department of Fine Arts, including all choirs, orchestra, Drama Company, special effects, sets, props and lighting.

Prior to each production, we establish an organizational chart listing numerous task forces in which you may become involved. Some of these include costume design, set design and decoration, technical and special effects, choreography, drama and script writing. The month before each production we piece together all separate parts into one awesome product.

Best of all, you will see lives changed and hearts turned toward the Lord through this outreach. We are also involved in producing multi-media illustrated sermons and illustrated songs throughout the year, incorporating our drama company, and video department, in addition to the choir and orchestra. We look for the opportunity to win souls by getting involved in the outreach ministry.

Through the year the PowerHouse Youth and the Power Kids divisions of the Fine Arts Department are also fully active. These activities include planning for competition, musicals, special services and ministry on a regular basis. The Youth and Children join with the adults to produce major musicals, productions and illustrated sermons that impact our church congregation and community for the cause of Christ.

Choir

The choir rehearses weekly on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. Visitors are welcome to check us out. The Spring First Choir is involved in many different ministries, such as they participate in the Old Town Spring singing Christmas Tree, they visit prisons, and sing weekly on Sunday mornings.

Drama & Production

The Drama Department is made up of actors/actresses who are often called upon to be a part of dramas, skits, and major productions several times throughout the year. You don't have to be an actor/actress to help with production. There are several areas of production to get involved in.

Praise Teams & Worship Band

Qualified individuals may audition to be a part of a small ensemble of vocalists who regularly assist in leading praise and worship for the services and for productions.

Technical

The Technical Ministry team of the church is made up of three areas of ministry: Sound, lighting, and video. Each area ministers on a weekly basis in the church as well as being a vital part of all dramas, musicals, productions, and special services and events.churches and ministering to other church bodies.
